Fortnite’s new mode is all about Partying
Updated: Sep 28, 2020
Epic Games just launched a new, violence-free mode for the game that is “Party Royale,” This mode removes two of the biggest elements from the experience: weapons and buildings. The mode introduces a new, smaller map, and they described it as an “experimental and evolving space.” Party Royale went live on April 29, as a part of the game’s most recent update.

The recent Travis Scott concert, for instance, drew 27.7 million unique players, and even more conventional in-game events like the big rocket launch a couple years ago attract major crowds.

An even bigger surprise is that the mode is live now: Epic's email suggested that the party would get started on Friday, but FireMonkey of Fortnite Intel discovered that the doors actually opened today. Stay tuned for more.
