Games you can play in your Quarantine Days!

Updated: Sep 28, 2020

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought the world down to its knees. Even though the virus originated in China, it has unfortunately reached almost everywhere. To avoid it from spreading any further, governments from around the world have issued a lockdown in many areas and restricted movements across the rest.

The #PlayApartTogether campaign has recently been promoted by the World Health Organization (WHO) to encourage people to stay socially connected from home. So I have been playing video games a lot lately, As I am all frazzled and unable to sit still long enough for a movie or TV show. Video games require more focus and thus often work better at keeping me chill.

Here are some of the recommendation:

1. Grand Theft Auto (GTA):

Grand Theft Auto games are shorthand for everything wrong with America: Violence, Prostitution, Drug smuggling, Gun-running, Political corruption, Racial tension etc. But despite all this, Grand Theft Auto games are some of the best-selling and best-reviewed in the business. An open world that every gamer loves playing. For starters, you can play GTA Vice City or GTA San Andreas.

2. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive:

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is arguably one of the most iconic FPS titles of its generation, but the game's dull graphics and repetitive gameplay reveal its age. CS: GO's a standard game mode (Bomb Scenario) involves either defending or exploiting a bomb site, depending on if you are on the Terrorist or Counter-Terrorist team.

3. Rocket League:

Rocket League is to the beginner a fast arcade sport where vehicles slam into each other at 100 mph and occasionally bundle the ball into the net. It’s basically Football, but with cars: It’s that simple, And that complicated. You can gather some friends on a sofa and set up a casual 1v1 tournament, with bonus scores for the flashiest goals. You can team up with a squad and really dive into the tactics, rotating goalkeepers and trying to score the perfect team goal.

4. Red Dead Redemption 2

The newest release from Rockstar Games was an instant hit upon release. Red Dead Redemption 2 is an engrossing western following Arthur Morgan and his gang as they try to survive a fictionalized Wild West as outlaws on the run. However, the game is much more than just that.

Whether it’s getting lost in the story, following through on every side quest to its conclusion, or just bonding with your horse, RDR2 is one of those games where you can easily sink 50+ hours into and still have something to do. The gameplay is stellar, and the graphics are gorgeous.

Play it now: Steam, Rockstar Games

5. Player Unknown Battle Grounds (PUBG):

Player Unknown Battle Grounds or PUBG is one of the most trending battle royal game in all over India. One hundred players parachute onto an island, Gather supplies and outwit your opponents and the last one alive wins. You can play PUBG on your phone. Also, it’s free for ios/android.

Play it now: Steam

6. DmC: Devil May Cry

DmC: Devil May Cry is a reboot disconnected from the continuity of the classic series while exploring similar themes. It starts at the beginning of Dante’s exploits as a demon hunter and depicts his growth into a figure similar to his classic counterpart. For me, It's a fun game where you have plenty of options and combos to kill demons.
